Beer and Burger Festival
If you are of the opinion that Beer and burger are the Bonnie & Clyde of comfort food then the Woodside Inn Beer and Burger Festival will be sure to leave you pleased. The annual festival will feature a host of uniquely-crafted burgers and an enviable list of local and imported beers. The delicious Japanese ramen burger and San Francisco style burger in a bowl are the ones to watch out for on the ten burger menu while the beer list boasts of classics such as Asahi from Japan and Tom ale and Aspall cider from the UK among others. The festival will be held simultaneously at both the branches of the restaurant.

If soulful acoustic rock n roll is your jam then don’t miss out Ankur and the Ghalat Family at blueFROG this Wednesday. The award-winning four member band which is helmed by lead vocalist Ankur Tewari (also a Bollywood music composer), has gained recognition at almost all of the major music festivals in the country for their melodious Urdu/Hindu tunes.

Chai Malhar Festival at Tiffin Box etc.
Enjoy the ongoing rains with a warm cup of chai and delicious snacks at the Chai Malhar taking place at Tiffinbox etc. Besides the customary deep fried and crispy Bhajias (Moongdaal and Kanda) you can also indulge in a tangy plate of Khasta Kachori along with your favorite monsoon beverage. Other teatime staples are such as Samosa, Brun Pav Maska and Khari are also a part of the festival menu.

Rhapsody – Maya Burman
If you haven’t already, hurry up and make your way to the Art Musings Gallery in Colaba to catch the last few days of celebrated Paris-based artist, Maya Burman’s beautiful exhibit. Daughter of renowned Indian painter Sakti Burman and French artist Maite Delteil, Maya’s work is famed for being exuberant and dreamlike and a fusion of French art nouveau tradition and Indian miniature painting style. A must visit for artists and art connoisseurs alike.

NCPA Bandish: Gulzar and Ajoy Chakrabarty
One of the performances in NCPA’s Bandish will see noted poet, writer, lyricist and film director Gulzar recite the Hindi translations of some of the works of the great Nobel laureate, Rabrindranath Tagore. The same evening will also see Ajoy Chakrabarty pay tribute to some of Tagore’s masterpieces such as dhrupad, khayal, thumri, geet and a few others based on Western tunes. The evening promises to be magical and musical and definitely memorable.
