Ace fashion designer Vineet Bahl is known for his global presence in Indian imaginative clothing. After, embarking on global presence in countries like US, Middle East, and Japan, Vineet Bahl has finally opened its first store in India.
The label is based on the design philosophy of ‘profundity in simplicity’. Innovative texture combinations and fluid silhouettes are central to Vineet’s designs. He designs for a confident woman who straddles cultures and geographies. Vineet champions the spirit of a global wanderer. Using artisanal techniques acquired during his travels around the globe, Bahl incorporates traditional Sardinian and Afghan embroidery into his treasure-forever designs. He feels an exclusive store will aid in interacting directly with customers, something a department store doesn’t allow. His target audience is the confident women who straddle cultures and geographies. His outfits are not necessarily for slim women. His Autumn/Winter ’13 range was inaugurated with outfits in the Chikankari embroidery set on an all ivory palette.
The 600 sq ft store on the second floor of Delhi’s designer hub DLF Emporio, includes clothes retailing at Rs 18,000 and upwards, is the first of what Bahl is hoping to expand into a full-fledged chain.
