Though Tesla is looking forward to unveiling more electric cars in India, but they will first test the Indian market with its Model 3 which will be launched in the sub continent next year. These cars will help reduce pollution and promote electric vehicles in India.
Tesla’s Model 3 is the cheapest, priced at approximately INR 23 lakhs and has received an overwhelming 4,00,000 bookings since its March launch. These cars can run over 300 kilometers on a single charge.
The Indian transport ministry is eager to make India their Asia manufacturing hub and is ready to provide them land near the port of their preference and all the necessary support that they require. India has already made plans to establish the necessary charging network for electric cars, which will be first introduced in the bigger cities.
