Open skies, snow-capped mountains and more – The beauty of Jackson Hole captured with the Nikon D5600

Since the past couple of years, I have been reviewing luxury cars, destinations, hotels, and airlines. For all my reviews I prefer to take my own pictures. For 5 years and more I used a DSLR, until I got my hands on the iPhone 6S – it delivered beautiful results. I particularly liked the ease of use, just point, shoot and if you have framed the shot correctly the result was good to go. Unfortunately, the ease of use does come with its own shortcomings – the biggest being lack of an optical zoom and depth in images. For my recent trip to the US, I decided to try out a DSLR. I picked the Nikon D5600 an entry-level DSLR that packs in a 24.2 MP CMOS sensor, a 39 point autofocus system that covers 95% of the screen and the speedy EXPEED 4 image processing engine. The camera comes with a 3.2-inch touchscreen on the back that gives you access to all the functions with utmost ease. Extremely convenient for me was ‘SnapBridge’ a feature that connected the camera to my phone for transferring images.

I was visiting Jackson Hole a quaint little skiing town in the state of Wyoming. It was one of most scenic places I have ever been to, the town is surrounded by the Grand Teton mountain range and is blessed with dramatic wildlife species that make it the ideal setting for photographers. Helping me capture the beauty of the great American outdoors was the Nikon D5600 with a 18-55mm lens. Rather than playing with the plethora of settings, I decided to take the shots with the preset shooting modes. Below are some select images.

Note – None of the images are edited in any way. They were shot in JPEG format and have been resized for faster loading.

The Nikon D5600 with a 18-55 mm lens is available for Rs.50,000. (The camera was provided by Nikon but all the opinions expressed herewith are my own).
