Nico Bombay Restaurant launches in Mumbai

A new extravagant eatery has stepped up in Mumbai. Kamal Sidhu’s husband Nico Goghavala’s eponymously named eatery Nico Bombay, is the much awaited farm-to-table Mediterranean restaurant and bar all set to open at Kala Ghoda

The 1,500 square feet restaurant is very different from its location’s former occupant, a little known eatery called Temptation Town. Owners Nico Goghavala and his wife, former VJ Kamal Sidhu, who ran a boutique hotel in Sri Lanka, did up the place themselves. Inside and out, Nico Bombay looks pretty terrific, and is matched by a menu that’s executed almost as well by their head chef Sinclair Pinto.Diners can choose from Nico’s own versions of Mezze platters, Neapolitan pizzas and tapas, as well as an extensive cocktail menu put together by Nico himself, with his past mixology experience. There will also be a menu of pizzas, served from the wood-fired oven imported from Naples and in variations.

A three-course dinner at Nico Bombay will cost about Rs1,000 per head; while lunch will be between Rs500 and Rs800. Cocktails will be priced at about Rs500. Visit the Mediterranean restaurant and bar Nico Bombay, 105 Apollo Street, Mumbai Samachar Marg, Kala Ghoda, Mumbai.
