Ritz Carlton Mumbai to open in 2016

U.S based luxury hotel chain Ritz Carlton is all set to open its second property in India with Marriot International in collaboration with Oberoi Realty. Having established a significant presence in Bangalore, the Ritz Carlton will be located in the upcoming financial destination of the city, Worli. Spread across 17 acres, the property will include a plush 5 star hotel and luxurious residences.

Accommodating 238 rooms, an ocean-view bar, two specialty and fine dining restaurants, a Ritz-Carlton Spa plus extensive banquet and meeting spaces; the hotel will be designed for the high profile events. The property will also include extravagant apartments accommodating 120 luxury residences, with 8,500-9,500 sq ft homes. With Taj Meadows and Grand Hyatt residences located at two extremes of the city, the Ritz Carlton will be the first 5 star apartments in Central Mumbai. The hotel will share the complex and some of its amenities and services with a plush residential tower, which will be managed by the Ritz-Carlton group. Priced at Rs.35 crore and up, these luxury residences are set to match the upcoming World Towers and the Lodha The Park in the same vicinity. The Ritz Carlton Residences will also include two 20,000 sq. ft. apartments, which likely to fetch over Rs 100 crore each.

The two high-rise towers; located in central Mumbai, will accompany the existing 5 star properties like Four Seasons, and ITC Parel serving the central business of the city. Moreover, with the India’s first W hotel coming up off Mahalaxmi racecourse, and Palladium hotel being rebranded as the St. Regis, Central Mumbai is soon turning into the aristocratic destination of the buzzing city.

The project is designed by US-based KPF and interiors of the hotel towers will be desgined by renowned interior designer Tony Chi. A partnership between Oberoi Realty and Saharan Group, the luxurious property is strategically located less than a kilometer from the prominent Bandra-Worli sea link. Set to open in early 2017, the newly built structure will be a beacon on the coastline of the Arabian Sea with magnificent views of the Mumbai skyline.
