Luxury carmaker Mercedes celebrates 20 plus years in India. To commemorate the benchmark, the brand has launched a refreshed version of its highest selling luxury sedan in its portfolio, the E-Class.
Christened as the ‘Edition E’,this luxury sedan marks the 20 years of the start of production of the famed E-Class, which has the unique distinction of being the first luxury car to be ‘Made in India’. The ‘Edition E’ blends the characteristic sporty design, unmatched comfort and luxury with exemplary safety features. Though the Mercedes-Benz Edition E looks more or less similar to the regular E-Class, it gets slightly redesigned headlamps and grille. Besides that, it also gets Edition E badging, and Garmin’s navigation system. Since it’s just a limited edition, it continues to feature the same engine options – 2.0-litre petrol, 2.2-litre diesel and a 3.0-litre diesel – that power the regular model. All the engines come mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
Features on offer with all three variants of Edition E includes ‘Edition E’ badge, illuminated three pointed star logo on the front grille, black hub caps, new look fabric-topic tail lights, electronic sunroof with pre-safe, SD card navigation, Mercedes Benz Apps, sporty brake pedals, Thermotronic Auto AC, memory seats with 3 settings, Active park assist, 20.3 cm high resolution colour display, leather upholstery, adaptive brake lights, adaptive airbags, intelligent light system, 360 degree camera, Harman Kardon surround system with 14 speakers and Dolby 5.1, along with rear seat entertainment system.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class ‘Made in India’ is available in 3 variants – E200, E250 and E350 CDI, the Mercedes-Benz Edition E is priced between Rs 48.6 lakh – Rs 60.61 lakh.
