The restaurateur and erstwhile partner of the Punjab Grill, Jiggs Kalra has a new offering in the city. Situated at Bandra Kurla Masala Library is the new offering from restaurateur that offers progressive Indian cuisine.
Jiggs Kalra’s ambitious Masala Library works with molecular gastronomy to give a different streak on Indian cuisine. The Delhi-based chef has drafted a pan-Indian menu that includes Thalassery rasam; bhindi Jaipuri with papad ki sabzi; chicken dhanshak; laal maas; Gujarati kadhi risotto; gajar halwa; and shrikhand gateaux. Street food takes new form and shape via the kitchen at Masala Library; Pav Bhaji Deconstruction, Petit Vada Pav and a Bhurji Kulcha are a few spin offs. Jigg Kalra’s attempt to make India’s first Michelin star restaurant, Masala Library is all set to please consumers with food that is unique, high on taste and well presented.
A meal for two, without alcohol (the bar is not yet functional), including a soup/salad, a starter, two main courses and dessert should cost above Rs.3, 000. Open daily, from noon to 2.30pm and from 7pm to 11pm, they also have blind tasting options.
