Star wives turned businesswomen Suzanne Roshan and Gauri Khan are spreading their entrepreneurial skills to real estate. After launching design outlets like the Charcoal project and Design Cell respectively, these leading ladies are now launching luxurious villas in Goa.
Roshan, who last year separated from her Bollywood superstar husband Hrithik Roshan, and Khan, the wife of Shah Rukh Khan, have teamed up to launch a property project, called Naira, in Dubai this weekend. Naira, a 12-unit development based in the Indian coastal state of Goa, is being developed in collaboration with Mumbai-based EMGEE Group. It will feature 604 sq. m mansions. Andrew Martin’s design firm has been hired to do the interiors of the mansions in partnership with Roshan’s The Charcoal Project, an upscale furniture label in India that also released Khan’s limited edition home accessories and furniture collection.
A party to mark the launch of the project will be hosted on March 22 at Dubai socialite Rekha Tourani’s Emirates Hills residence. The duo’s project aims to target the crème de la crème of the society, which is why they have chosen to launch the project in Dubai.
