Singer-actress Monica Dogra is changing the way India deals with music. She is adding another feather to her hat by turning into a curator for the first edition of a boutique luxury music festival called Magnetic Fields.
Monica, a popular independent artist and singer of Bollywood track “Dooriyan bhi hai zaroori”, was closely working with the team looking at the minutest details of the creativity involved in putting the event together. The three-day fest was an amalgamation of various musical talents from all over the world with bands like Shiva Soundsystem, Peter Cat Recording Co, Midival Punditz and Shaa’ir + Func performing. We spoke to a few artistes who are soaking in the unique experience at Alsisar.
One of the first such music experiencesin India, Magnetic fields had designed and curated – from the palace that will house it, to the cutlery and glasses, to the Bedouin tents hosting late evenings of open mics, talks on meditation and the future of Indian independent culture.
