First Class and Business Class travelers in Mumbai, can now luxuriate in GVK Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA)’s new Lounge. The world’s first luxury common-passenger lounge, the new space will allow premium passengers from all airlines, to relax and unwind.
Spread across an area of 30,000 sq. ft. in two levels – Level 4 and 3, the GVK Lounge has a total capacity to accommodate 440 guests at any given point in time. It hosts some of the most innovative facilities and latest technologies in the form of Concierge Services, Smoking Zone, F&B, Bar, Luxury Spa, Shower Area, Relaxation Area, Library and a Business Centre, in keeping with MIAL’s ideology of encouraging product, service and design innovation to complement the overall ambience, design and architecture of the new terminal T2.
The lounge has been designed by celebrated fashion designer Sandeep Khosla and highly acclaimed architect Alfaz Miller. It is segregated into three categories – First Class, Premium Class and Business Class. The lounge is segregated into three sections. The first-class section sits on the second level and provides à la carte dining, individual spa treatments and multilingual service staff. In premium class travellers have access to an exclusive lounge environment and 170 seats, as well as a buffet area equipped with a juice bar and whisky lounge. The business-class section seats 270 and has access to a variety of international dishes in the buffet area. The space based on a concept by Softroom Architects, with gold and silver themes complemented by Jali screens, chandeliers and a glass peacock installation.
The first ever common luxury Lounge in the country is now open for premium fliers at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport’s (CSIA) Terminal T2.
