Bespoke Men’s shoe label John Lobb is all set to enter India, to provide the perfectly fitted, stylish pair of shoes. The British Luxury shoe maker has partnered with Regalia Luxury to enter India, and plans to open exclusive stores to sell handmadetomeasure shoes. Owned by French luxury house Hermes, John Lobb aims to target the elite class with the customised offerings.
Traditional craftsmanship is the essence of the John Lobb brand. Thus, the brand plans to provide a service that allows customers to place a special order on shoes that reflect their style and precisely match their personal expectations after choosing from over 150 available models from the past and current John Lobb collections. Today the range of brands and materials in the men’s shoes sector is wider than ever. While multiproduct luxurious stores like Christian Louboutin, Gucci and Burberry have a men’s she section, this year, we will see men’s shoe speciality stores like Harrys of London and Dune London entering India, besides John Lobb. Last year, John Lobb had partnered with the Taj Group to launch its shoe care service in Mumbai. Now, the brand plans to open stores in Mumbai and Delhi.
At the apex of John Lobb’s product offering is its bespoke service, where prices start at about Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 6 lacs for a customer’s first pair of welted shoes, this craftsmen requires 190 distinct steps to produce.
