India’s first St. Regis to open in Mumbai mall soon


The luxury hotel chain St. Regis is all set bestow luxury in India, as the company plans to open its first hotel in Mumbai.

St Regis, one of the world’s best-known luxury hotels,by Starwood Hotel and Resorts will replace the management of Palladium Hotel, which was run by the Shangri-La Group earlier. St Regis, is in talks to manage Phoenix Mills-owned Pallazzio Hotels and Leisure’s 390-room property at Palladium, a luxury mall in Mumbai. The century-old brand known for its elite clientele and high-end services offers exclusive privileges to its guests worldwide. Being a flagship luxury brand in the portfolio Starwood is eyeing the Mumbai market to kick start operations for several St Regis properties in the country. It is also targeting Delhi for the same brand. Starwoods also evaluated its luxury and upscale full-service W Hotels and Westin for the Palladium property.

The global hotel group also owns brands like Le Méridien, Sheraton, Four Points by Sheraton, Aloft and The Luxury Collection. Currently branded as Palladium Hotel, the Mumbai hotel was earlier managed by Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
