Following up on the success of their hugely stylish and much-loved Spring/Summer collaboration with a whole new Autumn/ Winter capsule collection are Clarks and Orla Kiely. Kiely, who is also known as the Queen of Prints, is most famous for her flair for retro chic, and her quirky designs coupled with the expertise and superior craftsmanship that has long been associated with Clarks, has resulted in the creation of a unique line that is contemporary, trendy and positively drool-worthy.
Having been showcased at London Fashion Week, the 6-style collection features a delicious range of 60s and 70s meets geeky meets party girl shoes in rich, moody autumn hues. From The Dora (Rs.9999) which is a comfortable, slipper loafer to the slightly more glamorous The Dorothy (Rs.10,999), a mid-heeled mary-jane the collection has it all. Our personal pick however, has to be The Dotty (Rs.12,999). Armed with a glossy finish, a vintage heel and brogue detailing, The Dotty is easily our favourite footie of the season.
Kiely, who’s bold, statement style has the patronage of a host of celebrity fashionistas such as Kate Middleton, Alexa Chung, Kiera Knightley, Kirsten Dunst and Zooey Deschanel amongst others, seems delighted with how the collection has turned out. She said, “I’m incredibly proud of my second collection with Clarks. Working together, we’ve built on the momentum of the first season and created some truly standout, autumn/winter styles. The Clarks team, their passion for their craft as well as the brand’s heritage are a real inspiration and I really feel we’ve done it again”.
Orla Kiely’s second capsule shoe collection for Clarks is now available in all leading independent boutiques, department stores and selected Clarks stores.
