Burberry have launched is “the most significant new fragrance from Burberry to date.” Lovingly, known as My Burberry, the fragrance is inspired by a London garden after the rain, and the scent takes its name “from the affectionate way in which people refer to their Burberry trench coat.”
Created by Burberry’s Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Bailey who worked with perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, My Burberry contains top notes of sweet pea and bergamot; a heart of geranium, golden quince and freesia, with base notes of rain-tipped damask and centifolia roses and patchouli. The glass bottle and overall design reflect the details of the Burberry trench coat: a bold horn-finish cap echoes its distinctive buttons and the hand-tied knot is English-woven gabardine, honouring the fabric invented by Thomas Burberry over 100 years ago. The bottle is presented in a trench-coloured box. The gold lined interior is embossed with the iconic Burberry check design.
The fragrance is now available online, and in select stores, across the country. Customers who purchase My Burberry as a 90-milliliter eau de parfum will be able to customize the glass bottle with up to three initials, with the complimentary monogramming service available on Burberry’s Web site and through selected Burberry stores and wholesale stores.
