The ultra-luxe brand, Burberry, which is known for young yet refined apparels, launched its new Autumn Winter 2013 collection in India. Last season, Christopher Bailey launched candy-wrapper metallic infused with the patent Burberry print. For fall 2013, the Burberry Prorsum collection is stalked by animal prints, from leopard to zebra.
Following the recent launch of ‘Burberry Kisses’ and the Autumn/Winter 2013 runway shows, the campaign is a continuation of the playful and romantic mood of the Autumn/Winter 2013 season. With silhouettes inspired by the Victorian era, including cute fitted trenches with slim gold belts and contrast storm flaps, and animal-print wedge kitten heels with gold buckles, the house embraced its animal side in a big way. One of the most beloved looks this season is a ribbed beige sweater tucked into a pencil skirt in horizontal strips of leopard print in two different sizes, accessorized with a slim gold metal belt, and a glossy oxblood snakeskin jacket. The silhouette, too, had 1960s sauce-pot written all over it with neat pencil skirts worn with polite blouses or glossy cashmere sweaters. The shoes – a ‘kitten wedge’ – were certainly inspired by the era. The pieces also include a military style and a heart prints.
From Burberry’s creative director, Christopher Belly sealed with a kiss, the Burberry Autumn/Winter 2013 Collection of future classics, is as polished and luxurious as you might expect from the Burberry powerhouse.
