In 2015, watchmaker Breitling introduced a new timepiece named Chronoliner, which is a modern aviator with vintage nuances. The Chronoliner harkens back to the aesthetic beauty of Breitling’s 1950s and 1960s design, an era when Breitling was already the “official supplier to worldwide aviation.” The Swiss luxury brand has now launched two original liveries for the watch: a blue version and a bronze version, with matching bezel and dial. The Chronoliner is distinguished by its broad bezel in ultra-hard and scratchproof high-tech ceramic featuring a star-shaped cut-out that facilitates handling. The red-tipped GMT hand nicely contrasts the otherwise monochromatic color scheme of the watch. In addition to the 24-hour scale on the rotating bezel, there is a fixed 24-hour scale on the dial which allows the wearer to track three separate time zones with the Breitling Chronoliner.
The Breitling Chronoliner is water resistant to 100 meters and fitted with an AR-coated sapphire crystal. The 46mm case encloses inside the Breitling Caliber 24, which is a Swiss ETA Valjoux 7754. Like the entire Breitling production since 1999, the Chronoliner is chronometer-certified by the COSC. The movement offers the time with a 12-hour chronograph and the date, and the watch has a power reserve of two days. The blue and bronze Chronoliner models are available with a steel or steel mesh bracelet, or a rubber strap picking up the steel mesh motif, and it can be yours for Rs. 5.8 lakh a piece.
