Bombay Perfumery introduces a perfume with the scent of steaming hot chai

Bombay Perfumery, a new niche brand of perfumes founded by Manan Gandhi, aims to inspire nostalgia for a selection of essentially Indian experiences like fresh masala chai, spice bazaars, iconic cities and the silver screen before the multiplex era. Their idea is to create fragrances that are complex and confident whilst using natural Indian ingredients.

Gandhi has bought on board internationally acclaimed perfumers to create a truly contemporary range of products. This collection has two unisex perfumes and three fragrances each for men and women. The hierarchy of notes in each of the scents are arranged to summon a visual, a memory from the recesses of your mind.

The opening notes of cardamom and bergamot in Calicut, followed by nutmeg and Cochin’s pure black pepper oil, create the illusion of walking down ancient spice markets in the South. Green tea notes accentuated with Indian lemongrass in Chai Musk make you yearn for a hot street side cutting chai. The fruity floral scent of Seven Islands dries down to a tonka bean, vanilla, musk and cedarwood finish as a tribute to the Maximum City.

To enhance the fragrance buying experience, the Bombay Perfumery is offering mini sample kits for first time visitors at their e-boutique, Bombayperfumery.com.

Sample these unique and different scents that will remind you in many little ways of the city that never sleeps.
