Blackberry launches a Porsche design smartphone worth Rs.99,990

Let’s admit it, since whataspp has taken over BBM, the Blackberry craze is fizzing out. However, to evoke luxury in Indian customers, Blackberry is back with an ultra expensive smartphone with a designer tag. The Canadian smartphone maker has launched a limited edition luxury handset Porsche Design P’9983 Graphite in India.

BlackBerry’s flagship QWERTY smartphone boasts of a specially crafted glass-like keys made from rigid synthetic material for durability and comes with hand-wrapped leather on the rear-side. The company has also incorporated graphite based stainless steel colour frame around the contours of the phone to give a premium feel to the smartphone.

The smartphone packs 64GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB). In the back, there’s an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there’s a secondary 2-megapixel camera. The Porsche Design P’9983 sports a 3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 720 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a 2,100 mAh removable battery.

When it comes to specs, the smartphone offers mid-range features, so the only things that make it so expensive are the materials used for manufacture. The handset comes with few Porche designed accessories including stereo headset, an international charging kit, a polishing cloth and a USB cable for high-speed data transfer. The device will be custom built so that people can flaunt their unique design making it a style statement.

However, the question here is, would you buy a Blackberry Porsche smartphone worth Rs 99,990?
