Asado: Mumbai’s first Latin American restaurant opens in Bandra!

Get set to try some Flautas, and Empanadas, as the city welcomes Mumbai’s first Latin American restaurant. Asado, the newest entry in the culinary world promises to enamor guests with its cutesy décor and bold flavours.

asado-2The concept of the cuisine at Asado centres around the latest contemporary cooking techniques of ‘Sous Vide’ and ‘Lava Stone Grill’, which will be experienced for the first time in Mumbai. Another feature of this already unique venture is the ‘Molecular Gastronomy’ that has been incorporated into the dishes. Asado’s menu reads like a foodie’s delight; choose from categories such as the Lava Stone Grill, classic Grills, or Latin Sizzlers to name a few. The variety will allow guests to discover new flavours and also enjoy selections like Beef Tenderloin, Portobello Mushroom Steak, Creamy Ancho Prawns, Cheese Jalapenos & Dates, Braised Filllet of Turbot Scallop and Garlic Herb Marinated Shrimp Skewer to highlight a few. Over and above this the restaurant will also feature an elaborate selection of international and domestic alcohol along with accompanied by an exhaustive wine list.

asado-3As far as the ambience is concerned, Asado’s décor will take you back to a quaint Latino town. The walls are hand painted with 3D art, which makes everything at this 65-seater look real. They also have an outdoor section but we loved the lively indoor section more. The music is the real deal as well and although this one’s a classy restaurant, the Spanish tunes will make you want to get up and dance.

asado-4Asado is located at Monorama Chambers, Ground Floor, S V Road. Bandra West, Next to Railway Colony. A meal for two would cost around Rs. 2,000
