Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) collaborated with fashion designer Anamika Khanna to showcase a special couture collection, art installations, Luxury 2014 at the Shree Raj Mahal Jewellers India Couture Week 2014 (SRM ICW’14). The India Couture Week 2014 traveled to Kolkata this year, where a special showcasing of designer Anamika Khanna’s installation took place on 27th July, 2014.
Anamika Khanna uses the traditional and modern Indian methods along with texturing on embroidery. Anamika Khanna is also known as the styloholic of today. Her collection is loved and proudly worn by many Bollywood divas. It’s impossible to imagine Anamika Khanna has no formal training in fashion. The silhouettes were cut with laser-like precision, the embroidery was flawless and intricate while the colour palette stayed true to the black, white and gold triad the designer has consistently promoted since the early days of her label.
Every ensemble in the luxury couture collection comprised three layers or more that could easily be worn independently, allowing the eventual buyer to mix, match and style on their own.
