5 Reasons Why You Must Make Alila Diwa Goa Your Choice of Boarding

Staycations are a lot of fun … convenience fun. But if you are looking for a more elaborate way to spend a few quick days away from the bustling schedule of work and home, then where else but to relax in the arms of great hospitality. For Mumbaikars, no place quite compares to their love for the tropical paradise that is Goa – a home not too far away from home!

Goa is an epitome of famous and popular tourist spots. The beaches, the food, the clubs, the churches, the architecture and the youthful spirit of this Indian destination doesn’t fail to please ever – evident in the millions from around the world that throng to its shores each year, every year. There is no dearth of hotels and homestays, hence, ensuring that the community doesn’t fail to satisfy every whim of the discerning traveler.

Alila Diwa Goa goes by its name – a diva in so many ways! Since the past 6 years, this not-so-little beauty has been shining sharp in the radar for tourists looking for a new kind of experience. This lavish retreat seems to have all the ingredients of tailoring the perfect getaway.
The USP of this 14-acre luxury resort, however, is views of a sprawling paddy field!. And hence, ladies, gentlemen, toddlers, and teens (and everyone else in between), here is a look at 5 reasons why your next visit to Goa should be at the Alila Diwa Goa.

1. Infinite Reasons for Joy
Alila Diwa’s infinity pool is BIG – perhaps, if not the biggest but definitely the most scenic I have seen in the country! It faces the long stretch of rice paddies, string of coconut trees on one side and the beach on the other side. What takes the chunk of the cake is the great photo ops you will get with this view. For an aerial view the pool cascades down into the field, like a shy mountain brook. And for a particular hour of a day, may we suggest sunset because you just cannot go wrong with the breath-taking view, with the last rays of the day dancing over the fields. What’s more, there is a children’s pool too, with tiny sun beds for the little minions – a definite #score!

2. On your marks, get set, SPA!
What’s not to like at a spa? Not much, and at Alila Diwa they don’t convince you otherwise. Spa Alila provides a comprehensive menu of treatments and therapies. Therapists are well-trained and are known to have fingers of magic. The spa offer 2 double treatment rooms, 2 Ayurvedic rooms and 5 single treatment rooms. At the spa, you not only get to enjoy massages you also have the chance to do yoga, get pampered at a beauty salon as well as sauna, a gym and some collections for some retail therapy.

3. Standing Tall & Proud
The resort is situated 16km from the Dabolim Airport in Majorda. It is just a 10-minute walk from the Majorda beach and quaint coconut tree-laced lanes featuring a host of well-known eateries. Those familiar with the taste trails of Goa would vouch for a ‘legendary Goan treasure’ – Martin’s Corner, a popular haunt well-known for a menu rich with traditional Goan cuisine. After a day of lazing in the pool, a stroll to enjoy some local flavours just cannot go wrong.

4. All Day Long
When in Goa, you sleep in. That’s the law of the land because there is so much to do! This means, at most hotels, missing out on the most important meal of the day – breakfast. At Alila Diwa, you can be rest assured that you will be fed until you drop at Bistro which serves breakfast – all day long! Other restaurants include Spice Studio which serves Indian cuisine, VIVO that serves oriental, Indian and Middle Eastern cuisine as well as The Edge Bar by the pool.

5. The Reasonable Reason
By now you must think that this little paradise is going to burn some potholes in your pocket. Kiss that thought away, because rates at Alila Diwa are surprisingly reasonable. There are 7 room categories. They include Terrace Room, Family Terrace room, Loft Room, Family Suite, Diwa Club Room, Diwa Club Suite, and Diwa Club two-bedroom suite. Prices for the rooms start at INR 8,200, going up to INR 30,400 for a night. Of these, the crème-de-la-crème is the Diwa Club Room, which is categorized as a “resort within a resort.” Marked with the best amenities that encompass luxury, the room features a king-size bed, private balcony, bar, and a “therapeutic” bathroom. The rooms all feature high ceilings, fast wi-fi, a tub and a balcony with enchanting views.
